Needs Based Response Uganda was founded in 2017 as a response to the growing social, economic, and humanitarian needs of rural local communities and forcibly displaced persons hosted in Bidi bidi refugee settlement in Yumbe District, West Nile Region and Kyaka II refugee settlement in Kyegegwa District, South West Region in Uganda. The organization is led by Ugandans and Refugees from diverse age, gender backgrounds. This organization is built on compassion and community-driven solutions. Needs Based Response Uganda formalized as a Community Based Organization on 27 September 2023 and its registered adress is in Kyegegwa District, Southwest region, Uganda. Currently, Needs Based Response Uganda stands a pillar of hope, resilience, and transformation in the communities we serve. Our strong stand of serving the vulnerable communities is rooted in our mission To provide and link vulnerable communities to needs based quality protection, education, health, livelihoods, environment & climate resilience, disaster preparedness and humanitarian support. NBRU pursuit is driven by our vision of A transformed, empowered, and self reliant community where dignity, resilience and opportunity flourish for all.
